My name is Teresa, pharmacist. I am currently doing my master research on nailbiting and its association with mineral imbalances. Have you got any experiences in treating nailbiting using Tissue Salts? if yes, please advise me which one. Do you know much about nailbiting? how can I use Schuessler Tissue Salts or any type of minerals to treat nailbiting. Many many thanks

Children who bite their nails would benefit from Kali Phos. Biting of the nails often occurs because of some nervous condition.
One can also consider magnesium phosphate this too may have an application. They have also found that nail biters may also be prone to cravings for sugar, in which case nat phos may also be considered.

I treat people with homeopathy and one "side effect" of their treatment has been many people reporting back that they have stopped biting their nails after 20, 30 even 40 years. So nail biting would seem to be, not a mineral deficiency but a nervious response to their past! Repression of trauma, inability to express their anger, humiliation etc.

It's always wonderful to see how homeopathic medicines can correct multiple long term issues with the right remedies. Tissue salts can be such a great compliment to homeopathic treatment.
